Countdown to Valentine's Day~ #2

Hello, I almost forgot to post the Day 2 Valentine I made for my sweeties!
I used a retired stamp set for the polka dot stamp. The rest come from the same ones mentioned in the first post. The round filigree design is from one of the stamp sets from the Avonlea Card Workshop kit. The banner tag in the upper corner was cut using one of the Close To My Heart Cricut Cartridges (can't remember which one) and the sparkly paper on the back is our new silver sparkle paper. 

 Cranberry, Whisper, White, Colonial Cardstock, Black and Smoothie.

Mojo Monday Card!

It's been awhile since I have done a card for Mojo Monday. So, I needed to make a card for a Thankyou Gift for Jami for purchasing from my website in January and decided to use the Mojo Monday sketch for this week! She will be able to use it to give to her Sweetie! Here is the sketch:


And here is my card:


It is all Close To My Heart products. Again, I did not use any B&T paper but, chose to stamp on cardstock and make my own. Loved these colors. I was looking through the Jan/Feb 2013 Paper Crafts magazine and these colors were in a Bo Bunny paper pack for Valentine's Papers. I was able to match the colors with our cardstock and inks!

 Juniper, Colonial White,Smoothie, Blush, Sorbet, Black, Cranberrry, Slate and Cotton Candy
The stamp set was the one from the Whoo's Your Valentine Kit that is no longer available. 
Our Silver adhesive backed ribbon. 
The oval center piece is cut from our Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge.

Countdown to Valentine's Day!

Well, I ran as hard as I could but, it caught me, I think. The "bug" that's going around that is. Ughhhhhhh! So far it's just cold like symptoms and I have been taking a lot of Pure Herbs for this sort of thing. We will see how it goes.

 Anyway, I have been making Valentine's for my sweeties. I will post one a day  until Valentine's Day and hope they will inspire you to make some yourself. If you choose to make some for your sweeties, I would love it if you could share. Go to my Facebook Page: Paper Crafting with Stampingranny' and post in my photos. Be sure and tell us what you used to make them.


All the cards were made with cardstock only~ No B&T papers at all! Designs were stamped on. All the cards were made with all Close To My Heart products .

First of all, it's snowing outside here in Indiana! So nice and white and pretty! Makes me just want to stay in and scrapbook or make cards. Which by the way, I am working on Valentine's cards for my Sweethearts. I will be posting them soon.

Valentine Cards and Birthday Cards!

Valentine's Cards are so fun to make! I really got inspired by a Christmas Card in a Paper Creations magazine. Was really fun to make especially when I can cut practically everything with my Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge!



I used all Close To My Heart products. The heart stamp is retired I think. I stamped it on Colonial White cardstock with Cranberry Ink and wet embossed it 3 times to make it thick and shiny. I think I must have gotten some glitter in my clear embossing powder but, I thought it looked fine. 

 There are 3 graduated layers of rectangle pieces I cut from the Art Philosophy Cartridge along with the card itself. The last 2 were cut with the scalloped edge. I misted the 3 layers with water and scrunched it up to wrinkle it. Be careful, its very fragile at this point and tears easily although I don't mind for myself. Smooth it out flat and let it dry completely. I took a hole punch around the scallops and punched the holes after the paper was dry. I used about 3 different stamp sets and the banner is cut from the Artiste Cartridge and the Medallion also.
Here is a round card I cut from the Art Philosophy cartridge. I also cut a second layer and misted it and punched the holes in. The top layer is stamped with the big medallion stamp and holes punched. The heart is stamped in Cranberry and is the same one as above. It's interesting how the color looks different on the White Daisy here vs the Colonial White above. The flower is 6 circles cut from the Art Philosophy misted, scrunched, stacked (while damp) and carefully held together with a brad.While it's still damp, scrucnch it to your liking (very carefully, it's very fragile) then let this dry completely. You can sponge color on the edges also. The leaves are stamped and fussy cut. 

Here is a couple birthday cards I made for 2 of our 7 grandchildren! Retired paper and not sure about the stamp sets. Colored with Close To My Heart Alcohol Markers. I don't have all the colors so used some of my regular CTMH markers to fill in. Trying to use up my stash!

You can do this with any of the paper packs listed in there with the ribbon embellishments. Only the My Stickease will be different. You only need to furnish the photos from your computer or a disk. 2013 is here already!

Wow! It's January-2013 already! Christmas and New Year's came and went so fast. Looking forward to seeing what the Lord has in store for us this next year. The past year has been amazing! One of the amazing things that has happened is I have been blessed with making some new friendships with you ladies who enjoy paper crafting as I do.   I hope my old and new friends can get together with me at my All Day Crops this winter once a month. 

I am working on on-going Workshops or Clubs! One in particular that will focus on the Cricut machine and our 2 wonderful cartridges! Several of you have expressed an interest in getting your machines out of their boxes and using them. I would love to help you get started. I am very excited about what we will be doing and projects we will make centered around this wonderful tool!!!!! 

 Another thing I want to start each month, is a beginner's Scrapbook Workshop or Club. I will be starting with the basics and helping you get going on those scrapbooks you  have been wanting to start. You will go home with a finished lay out to put in your album. 

 Watch your e-mails for a list of dates and times for Workshops and the All Day Crops!

 Something else that has captured my interest lately is the Becky Higgens Project Life Scrapbooking. I am really excited to get started on a Scrapbook in this mode. I plan to use pretty much all Close To My Heart products and will post what I accomplish.
