Here we go!

My technique was to stamp a subtle background with the Pewter stamp pad. The roses are straight from the pad and the leaves are "second generation stamped." To do this technique you ink your stamp with the color, stamp it off on a scrap piece of paper then stamp on your project. Makes it a lighter color.

The colored leaves and the flowers were stamped with Memento and I used the sponge dauber to rub the greens on. I used Fern and Sweet Leaf, also added a bit of Pomegranate. Fussy cut them with my scissors and added Clear Shimmer Brush.

The flowers are colored using the Sugar Plum ink and the Pixie for the lighter color. Used the Sugar Plum Shimmer Brush for the darker values and to give it a shine. I used the gold Shimmer Brush for the centers of the flowers.

The center of the leaf wreath is stamped with black and I added the Gold Shimmer Brush to highlight the little leaves. I stamped the image directly into the center of the leaf vine and then stamped another image on White Daisy and then fussy cut it and added it to the center with a pop dot.

The leaves of the wreath are colored with the Alcohol Markers starting with a light yellow green and highlighting with darker color of green.

The heart is stamped with the Pomegranate stamp pad and fussy cut. The circle of Sugar Plum behind the vine is cut from our Shaker Window Thin Cuts. I used the Complement Cardstock from our April Kit of the month called: Feels Like Home. This paper is great for many occasions- wedding pictures and cards, vintage pictures, anniversary pictures and cards and even female birthday. Love both of the stamp sets that were made for it also. I used the other one on an earlier blog!

Now "Hop"on over to Katy Taylor to see her works of art! Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their Blogs to get some great crafting ideas and other fun ideas! Contact your CTMH Consultant ( or click here ) to get the products I used for this project!

This month we have 18 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using this month's SOTM and other great CTMH products on their blogs. This is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one! Here we go!

I made two cards and participated in two different challenges. The first challenge was with the Case This Sketch and was due March 28. Here is the sketch.

And here is my card using our Color of the Year- Sugar Plum for the flower and one layer of the background paper. I used the Sugar Plum glitter pen to add some glitter and shading to this flower also. The gold shimmer brush decorated the center of the flower. I stamped the leave with the Fern stamp pad and fussy cut those and the flower out. The left triangle is a couple of the designs in the Stitched Quilt Shapes which is not available until the end of April. I also used Pebble and Pewter.

This second card was made for a challenge with the design from the Fusion Challenge. Click on the picture below and play along with us. Post your artwork on my Facebook group Making Pretty Things With Paper to share.

And the color scheme came from the Color Dare Challenge #335- Monochromatic Pinks. Click on the picture to go to the blog and play along with us. Post your artwork on my Facebook group Making Pretty Things With Paper to share.

I used Rasberry, Pixie and Ballerina. The stripe background paper is from the Something Fierce paper pack. I used the stamp pad colors and my clear glitter brush to paint the butterfly and used the gold glitter brush to add bits of gold to the flower center and edges of the butterfly wings.

When you purchase the stamp of the month on my website, you will get these two cards as kits included in some happy mail as a thank you for shopping with me.
