Lovely Layers- CTMH Technique Blog Hop

Welcome to this month's Technique Blog Hop where participants can interpret the theme title, "Tag, You're It!", however they see fit. Close To My Heart products are used in all of the creations.

This card is 6" x 6" and I used paper from the Something Fierce paper pack. The stamp set is the February Stamp of the Month. The hearts are cut with the Stitched Heart Thin Cuts. 

The inchies were cut from the White Daisy cardstock and the colors (Rasberry, Willow and Lemon) were sponged on. I dropped the liquid on each from the bottle of Stamp Cleaner and also sprayed it on to get a finer spotty look. I stamped the flowers on each inchie with the Intense Black making sure each flower was in the same color of inchie square to keep the pattern the same. The outlines are done with the journal pen. The two flowers are stamped with the Intense Black, colored with the Rasberry and Willow stamp pads and a chalk tool then fussy cut them out and added to the card.

February SOTM Blog Hop Heartfelt Sentiments

I used a pattern for an Easel Step kind of card borrowed from The Rubber Cafe Design.

I used paper from the I Heart Us paper pack and cut some embellishments from the Close To My Heart Flower Market Cricut Cartridge. I used a die cut for the ruffles. The flowers were colored with our Shinhahn Markers. Some were fussy cut for added embellishment.

Snow Day Crafting Fun!

We had snow! Not enough for me, but, it snowed! I took advantage of the snowy weather and worked on cards for the Card Buffet and the ladies at Timbercrest. 

I always make two cards for Timbercrest and this next workshop we will be making Valentines. 

  

                   

Valentine Cookies!

This card is made with all retired Close To My Heart papers. I used the Cose To My Heart Cricut Cartridges Flower Market(Z3501) and Artistry(Z3500) and the physical cartridge(Z3298). The Sentiment is cut from the Thin Cuts-Fancy Tags(Z4035) and stamped with retired stamp set. 

  

Hearts Valentine Card!

This card was cut from the Cricut using the Shapes images. The back ground was embossed with the new Embossing Folder- Playful Scallops (Z4231). The "Ribbon" was stamped on with the new border stamp set called- Border Medley (C1765). The pink oval was cut from the Thin Cuts- Stitched Ovals(Z4187).

The next three cards are made with the January Stamp of the Month- Card Captions. I also used various parts of the stamp set- I Heart Us (C1760) Cardmaking stamp set. I used some of the paper from the I Heart Us paper pack and picked out colors from the set also.

It's Friday!

Hey! It's Friday!!!!!!!!

And.......were calling for snow! Time to get my crafting on! What are you guys going to be doing? I have a few swaps to get ready, catch up on the Stamp of the Months, work on my boards for March, and who knows what else? Speaking of swaps, I joined one with 19 other Consultants to make cards from the 19 new different stamp sets to show you guys what they look like and ideas on how to use them. I am sharing the two I made and when I get them back I will share the others. Both of these cards were made using our Make It From Your Heart Vol. 4. How to book. 

This card was made from the stamp set in the Workshop Your Way Choose To Shine kit. 

I used Sapphire, Canary, Mint, Clover, Candy Apple and Pebble. 

The Sapphire background is embossed with our new Embossing Pad-Playful Scallops. I finished it off with the ribbon in the kit. This will be included in my Card Buffet.

This card was made with the stamp set I Heart Us- Cardmaking. Even though I did fussy cut some of the flowers, you can choose not to and it will still look great. The tag was cut from the Fancy Tags Thin Cuts.

The colors used: Canary, Lagoon, Mint, Pixie, Rasberry, Sweet Leaf, and Charcoal.

 I used pieces from the I Heart Us paper pack for layering and the watercolor background was made from the Mint Shimmer Brush. I stamped the one blueish flower with the Lagoon and colored with the Mint Shimmer Brush. If you purchase the I Heart Us Deluxe kit you will get this Stamp set, the Mint Shimmer Brush plus other goodies to make some great projects at a 10% discount. The instructions will also tell you how to do the flowers. 

I will be including this card in my Card Buffet also with two options. This one with the fussy cutting and another sample with less fussy cutting.

Birthday Wishes

For my card, I used the beautiful paper called I Heart Us! Boy, I am loving this paper and these colors!!!! Using White Daisy, I cut the ruffled circle with the Fancy Tags Thin Cuts and cut about an inch off one side so I could butt it up against the Bluebird strip. 

  I used the Mint Shimmer Brush for the background on the White Daisy part of the card and the mint green flowers.

I stamped the flowers from the stamp set called: I Heart Us- Cardmaking stamp set.

  I used these colors to stamp and watercolor with the water brush: Mint, Bluebird, Rasberry, Pixie, Canary, Lagoon,and Charcoal.

I used the Pattern #13 from the Make It From Your Heart vol. 4-design book-pg. 31.

Snowed Under?

Hey, are you snowed under with Christmas preparations? Feeling the stress? Waiting in anticipation for family to arrive and the festivities to begin? Well, if your ready or not Christmas is only 4 days away! Can you believe it? Where has the year gone? 

Don't panic, just prop your fuzzy socks up on that hassock, with your little glass of wine, good book or movie, and warm cozy fire beckoning and just relax and let's chat for a few minutes.

Today, I am working on some gifts for you~ my Club Hostesses. Hope you will like them! And you will be getting your new Seasonal Expression 1 Catalog!!!! It's a doozy!

Tomorrow, my grandaughter is coming to help me decorate cookies. She wanted to come anyway to do something else, which that event is a mystery to me so, I thought while she is here we can do the cookies together. Looking forward to hanging out with her.

Sunday night we hope to be in Ohio for Grandson's Church Program. We will spend the night and drive back on Christmas Day to eat lunch with Hubby's Mom and siblings.

Then, the next few days we will be getting ready for our Christmas with our family New Years weekend so I am not too stressed yet. Should I be? What will the next few days be like for all of you?
