July is here!

 July is here and so is our new supplement catalog! If you haven't gotten yours yet, they come free in your first order.

I am sure your summer is as busy as mine, with vacations, kids home from school, Holidays, and events. Lots of picture taking times. 

The last three years, counting this year, my husband and I go with our daughter and her husband to Kentucky to bring the love of Jesus to the folks in that area. I was asked to take care of the Crafts the last two years. Last year was a huge success! One of the reasons for this is to bring the community together and to give whoever shows up a gift to take home that they created themselves. We do two nights of adult crafts and at the Community Dinner we do for the community we do a smaller less time-consuming adult craft plus card options. 

We usually go for a week, but that's an option for anyone that wants to go, you can come and go as it suits you. There is a place called the Lord's Cafe where we help cook lunch and serve  the people that come in and praying with each one. There's also a little building for those who can cut hair and a laundry mat to help people with their laundry. It's all volunteer of course, even the Craft Nights. The plus side is the beautiful friendships made with the folks in the area and the other Church Teams. 

Another thing that goes on is, there's always a need in the area to repair homes or work on the Tiny Houses that have been in the works for a while. The Tiny Houses are for folks that have chosen to walk away from their addictions and change their lives for the better. Getting those houses done has been a slow progress, but God has met their needs in so many ways to get the things accomplished that need to be done. In His timing......! It's such a blessing to lighten the loads of folks who need it.

I wanted to share what were making this year for the two craft nights. These are just samples because there's lots of different ways and colors you can use to make either one.

June Updates

Wow! Here it is June 23 already! Where has the time gone? In April, I had just finished my second Scrapbook Retreat, cleaned house for family time for Easter, was asked to help out in the 4th-6th grade school kitchen (major huge adjustment for me) and the first two weeks of June we entertained our 5 grandchildren and had our first family camping trip. I am now starting to gather materials for our annual Mission Trip to Kentucky the first week of August so, to say I am way behind is hard to even confess. So, with that being said, starting with the new July catalog, I am going to have to make a change for my Stamp of the Month kits. Instead of making extra kits for different levels of your purchasing, until I catch up, I will be staying with the 3 card kits and the next level ($75) I will offer the 3 card kits and a 2page layout. 

Speaking of the new catalog coming live July 1, it will be live July and August only. As of July, the new catalogs will be coming every two months for now.

Color of the Month- Honeybutter

January Stamp of the Month- Frosty Days

 

S2301- Frosty Days is such a cute stamp set. So many ways to use this on cards and scrapbook pages. 

I used the paper and colors from the 

Paper kit of the Month- X7288B- Are We There Yet? Colored with alcohol markers, stamped first with Black Memento. The sentiments are from a retired stamp set. 

This card was made using a couple Cricut Designs I made myself in Design Space. The trees are stamped with Black Memento and I used the masking technique on the background, and everything is colored with alcohol markers. I used the Black Memento to stamp everything that is outlined to be colored and the leaves in the squares.

I used the same Cricut Design for this card also but made the card sideways. Do you think it gives it a different look? Everything is stamped with the Black Memento and colored with the alcohol markers. The snowflakes are cut with the

Color of the Month- Scarlet

 

This Card kit will be very simple to make. I only used the one stamp set and did first and second generation stamping all over the background. The tag is cut from the set of dies below. The snowflakes are cut from the set of dies below also. 

November Stamp of the Month- Christmas Snowflake

 

November is half over, and I am just now getting this done. This stamp set is so beautiful and has so much potential for all different creative endeavors for cards, scrapbook pages and even decor. What will you make with it? Post your creation on my Facebook group, I want to see your ideas!

I used the Nebula Stickles Glitter Gel quite generously on each card. Here are the close ups of each card.

This card was heat embossed with silver embossing powder and I blended Oxide Inks over top but only in the center. I added the glitter gel on the top layer after fussy cutting each piece. If you look closely, you will see I first heat embossed directly on the grey background first. 

This card has a tag made from the Tag Kit that is available until Dec. 31 as a fun tag including 12 stamp sets. The pocket is made from Vellum and cut with the Tag Builder Dies pictured below. I stamped the mandala design on the background of the grey piece and the tag has the gel on it.  Such a fun set.

This card is really simple. Just stamped background with the Glitter Gel swiped over the light color parts. The sentiment is stamped on the oxide ink blended on the background.

June Stamp of the Month- I Heart Summer!

Another card I made with primarily Oxide Inks, Stencil Pack 1 and 2, Circles and Patterns Workshop kit, Postage Frames Thin cuts, and Black Acrylic embellishments and a left-over piece from In Full Blooms embellishments. White Daisy Ink, White Paint Pen, white gel pen, stamp set from the Circles and Patterns and the sentiment is from the May Stamp of the Month.

And I thought this stamp set was going to be hard to come up with very many card ideas. LOL!
