The big day is only two days away? What are you doing for Thanksgiving Day? What are you thankful for? 

   First of all, I am thankful and grateful to a Risen Lord and what He did for me. Grateful for the Creator and His creation. He shows us in so many ways how much He loves us. I am grateful for family and friends. For children, grandchildren and my dearly beloved hubby. For good health!

   Hubby and I will be spending the day to ourselves since everyone seems to have other plans but, since we enjoy each other it doesn't matter. Thinking about going to watch the movie Wonder and maybe find a restaurant that will be open. 

I hope everyone has a blessed day with your families!

May brings Spring Flowers!

Wow! It's May already!!!!! Where has the time gone?????
It seems like I say this alot, not doing too great a job keeping up with my blogging. 

I have been busy, busy, busy getting boards prepped with samples each month for several events I vendored at. Plus, about every Saturday I have been gone to these events and crops. Fun, fun, fun.............love my job!

We have had a wet, cold spring, but, if I remember right, this is pretty normal. I do believe this year has been wetter though. Today and tomorrow were supposed to have solid rain and "the powers that be" keep talking about getting prepared for flooding. 

On the bright side of things, my flowers I have planted are not freezing yet and seem to be growing. 



I did not inherit my Grandparents green thumbs so this is a plus. Woo hoo!

I am currently using the Cut Above Kit for both of my daughter's wedding pictures. Some of the pages look great with the one daughter's and not with the roses but the oldest daughter's pictures match beautifully. How fun is that? I will be blogging and showing them this month.

March Goals and more!

Spring is right around the corner! I don't know about you but it makes me feel like spring cleaning. I am slowly working on my craft room. First thing I have been doing is cleaning out my stamp sets. Getting rid of what I don't want and recording in Evernote the information of the stamp sets I want to keep.

Organising in Evernote

Very simple tool to use for organising. Love it. I have written on my organiser containers Box 1, Box 2 etc. I will then mark each stamp set with the Box they are in as I have recorded that same information in Evernote. I just found that once I pull a stamp set, I forget which box it came from and to make putting away easier and faster, having them marked ahead of time works great. Plus, it will make it easier for other people to put away when they want to use my stamp sets. I will have a binder with the photos and information to help with ease of finding the stamp set for other people. 

This stamp set was in the retired Close To My Heart Artiste Cricut Cartrige kit but, for those who have it, here is a card I made with it using Desert Sand, Sapphire, Canary, Cranberry and White Daisy Cardstock and inks. The dots on the cup cake are made with nuvo crystal drops (not a Close To My Heart product). I cut the cup cake and the banner from the Artiste following the instructions on the stamp set for size of cut. The canary background is 2 seperate pieces cut from the retired Close To My Heart Art Phylosophy Cricut Cartridge and the Sapphire mount is embossed with a Close To My Heart embossing folder. I got the background idea from another artist on Pinterest. This card will be added to my card buffet.

Mojo Monday #483

Here is my take on the Mojo Monday sketch for this week. All the patterned paper is retired Close To My Heart paper called Snowhaven. The background border is cut from the Close To My Heart Artbooking Cricut Cartridge. The Heart and the title was both cut from the Close To My Heart Flower Market Cricut Cartridge. Stamped the title with a background stamp. Silver glitter ribbon (retired) and blue brads (retired). I used a journal pen to doodle around the edge of the heart. 

I wanted to show other ways to use this paper so if you have this in your stash you can see how to use it for something else besides Winter or Christmas.
