Snowed Under?

Hey, are you snowed under with Christmas preparations? Feeling the stress? Waiting in anticipation for family to arrive and the festivities to begin? Well, if your ready or not Christmas is only 4 days away! Can you believe it? Where has the year gone? 

Don't panic, just prop your fuzzy socks up on that hassock, with your little glass of wine, good book or movie, and warm cozy fire beckoning and just relax and let's chat for a few minutes.

Today, I am working on some gifts for you~ my Club Hostesses. Hope you will like them! And you will be getting your new Seasonal Expression 1 Catalog!!!! It's a doozy!

Tomorrow, my grandaughter is coming to help me decorate cookies. She wanted to come anyway to do something else, which that event is a mystery to me so, I thought while she is here we can do the cookies together. Looking forward to hanging out with her.

Sunday night we hope to be in Ohio for Grandson's Church Program. We will spend the night and drive back on Christmas Day to eat lunch with Hubby's Mom and siblings.

Then, the next few days we will be getting ready for our Christmas with our family New Years weekend so I am not too stressed yet. Should I be? What will the next few days be like for all of you?

Did I say I would post every day? 

I got caught up with Saturday's Craft Sale, driving through the snow and on horrendous roads, hauling stuff in to the house and up the stairs and plopping in to bed. Twas so exhausting! 

Then, Sunday, we went to church and I got extremely tired in service, so, after coming home and fixing Hubs a salad, I went to bed~clothes and all and slept awhile. Got up and started working on projects for Christmas gifts and totally forgot this project. Our Son and 3 grand kids came for while also and that is always a distraction for me. 

Monday we traveled to Ohio for our grandson's Christmas Concert then drove back home that night. 

Tuesday, Hubs took the day off and we went to Shipshe and Goshen shopping. Again, we traveled through snow and "ugh" roads. Had a great day together and ate buffet at Essenhaus. We haven't ate there for years and were amazed at the change in the place and Yoders Dept. store. Obviously, were not Shipshe goers. Needless to say my days slipped by.

Oh dear! It's Friday and it's 5:00 p.m. already!!!! Where has my day gone????

Another late night (rather early morning) to bed, late getting up, went for a massage then home to work on projects again.

The day went very fast and here I am behind on the next Blog post! I will make this quick and show you what I am making. These will make really fun Stocking Stuffers for teachers, Mom, Grandma, and any other person on your list you give a little gift too.

The top two are made with coasters in the center, lots of retired papers and using the Cricut for the designs. I used the Flower Market, Art Phylosophy, and bought a couple from Cricut. Click here to see where you can get the little calendars   Calendar Pads.

This is just a covered coaster with a Post It Note and ribbons on the clip. I did stamp a bit on it. You can decorate these however you want to.

I don't remember where I got the coasters, but, if you google plain coasters you should be able to find them.

Little boxes made from the Artiste Cricut Cartridge. On page 19- 3D Object. In the Cricut Design Space I cut it at W-7.56 x H-9.973 out of different papers. The tiny mug came from the Artistry Cricut Cartridge on page 5 -Icon 2 cut at W- 1.36 x H- 1.377. The background behind the mug is from the windows of the boxes. The tag was cut from the Art Phylosophy (retired) and stamped with this stamp set. If you have this cartridge, there are several designs for tags and you can choose which you like the best.

  The big day is only two days away? What are you doing for Thanksgiving Day? What are you thankful for? 

   First of all, I am thankful and grateful to a Risen Lord and what He did for me. Grateful for the Creator and His creation. He shows us in so many ways how much He loves us. I am grateful for family and friends. For children, grandchildren and my dearly beloved hubby. For good health!

   Hubby and I will be spending the day to ourselves since everyone seems to have other plans but, since we enjoy each other it doesn't matter. Thinking about going to watch the movie Wonder and maybe find a restaurant that will be open. 

I hope everyone has a blessed day with your families!

May brings Spring Flowers!

Wow! It's May already!!!!! Where has the time gone?????
It seems like I say this alot, not doing too great a job keeping up with my blogging. 

I have been busy, busy, busy getting boards prepped with samples each month for several events I vendored at. Plus, about every Saturday I have been gone to these events and crops. Fun, fun, fun.............love my job!

We have had a wet, cold spring, but, if I remember right, this is pretty normal. I do believe this year has been wetter though. Today and tomorrow were supposed to have solid rain and "the powers that be" keep talking about getting prepared for flooding. 

On the bright side of things, my flowers I have planted are not freezing yet and seem to be growing. 



I did not inherit my Grandparents green thumbs so this is a plus. Woo hoo!

I am currently using the Cut Above Kit for both of my daughter's wedding pictures. Some of the pages look great with the one daughter's and not with the roses but the oldest daughter's pictures match beautifully. How fun is that? I will be blogging and showing them this month.

March Goals and more!

Spring is right around the corner! I don't know about you but it makes me feel like spring cleaning. I am slowly working on my craft room. First thing I have been doing is cleaning out my stamp sets. Getting rid of what I don't want and recording in Evernote the information of the stamp sets I want to keep.

Organising in Evernote

Very simple tool to use for organising. Love it. I have written on my organiser containers Box 1, Box 2 etc. I will then mark each stamp set with the Box they are in as I have recorded that same information in Evernote. I just found that once I pull a stamp set, I forget which box it came from and to make putting away easier and faster, having them marked ahead of time works great. Plus, it will make it easier for other people to put away when they want to use my stamp sets. I will have a binder with the photos and information to help with ease of finding the stamp set for other people. 

This stamp set was in the retired Close To My Heart Artiste Cricut Cartrige kit but, for those who have it, here is a card I made with it using Desert Sand, Sapphire, Canary, Cranberry and White Daisy Cardstock and inks. The dots on the cup cake are made with nuvo crystal drops (not a Close To My Heart product). I cut the cup cake and the banner from the Artiste following the instructions on the stamp set for size of cut. The canary background is 2 seperate pieces cut from the retired Close To My Heart Art Phylosophy Cricut Cartridge and the Sapphire mount is embossed with a Close To My Heart embossing folder. I got the background idea from another artist on Pinterest. This card will be added to my card buffet.
