Thought I would share the 3 cards we are making tomorrow with the South Bend group. I did 3 different techniques to make the colorful B&T which I will share after the workshop. Don't want to spoil it for the girls now do we?

The flower and leaves are cut with the Artiste Cricut Cartridge and stamped with our June Stamp of the Month. This stamp set lends itself well to doodling.

This sun comes from the Just Chillin'- C1495 stamp set. The word Celebrate comes from the Card Chatter- Birthday Occasions-D1475 stamp set. The doodled dots are freehand.

All the stamped components on this card are from a retired Stamp of the Month. I freehanded the frame around the edge. The top card was a tweaked design from Mojo Monday designs and the other two cards were just based off the idea of keeping it simple.

June is here already and I just updated everything! Be sure and check out all the promotions for June! I will list the links below:

And of course the June Stamp Of The Month! I just made 2 cards with this super stamp set and colored it with my alcohol markers. Will try to post soon but, meanwhile, you can see a sample when you click on the Stamp Of The Month tab above.

Right now I am trying to get ready for a Scrapbook Retreat this weekend I am a vendor at. Some of you will be there and I can't wait to see you again!!! I am working on the class I am giving, "Dressing Up Those Die Cuts" and lots of samples to show.

I am so excited by my 2 groups of ladies who are excited about our gatherings. They are excited about the things they are learning and the projects they are getting done. Last week, the South Bend group decorated our chipboard star for their home decor projects. I am going to have to start taking pictures and posting the pictures for the girls. They all did a beautiful job and their own personal creativity certainly shines through. The Albion group named themselves the Scrappin' Sistahs and boy do they love to scrapbook!  Every month we do a Workshop On the Go scrapbook kit and do 2~2page layouts. Of course, their individual pages change with their pictures and stories~I see their personal creativity shining also.

Both groups the ladies take turns each month to be the Hostess. They bring the snacks and earn the Hostess Rewards. Best of all, they enjoy getting together and getting their projects done!

There is plenty of room on my calendar each month if you want to get together with your friends also and get your projects done plus earn some FREE Hostess Rewards as an added benefit. Contact me to get your group started, and you can name your group of ladies too!!!!

Wednesday, April 3, 2013

Well, it's April, so, I updated again. In fact, if it hadn't been for a friend of mine looking at the Color Club, I would have totally forgotten to update. So, Color Club is updated for this month, Stamp of the Month is updated for this month and...............that's all, done

I do know that there are some new things added to the Clearance rack in my shop online area! You might want to check that out. I already know what I want to get!!!!! Those pens! I have a set and love using them on my pages to journal or if I want to add some lines to a die cut. I have had them a long time but, maybe its because I haven't used them alot? I just know they still work and they are permanent. I still want to get some new ones if these are going to be gone though.I see they have my all time favorite Boquet Assortment resin flowers! I liked these so much, I have an extra batch. I have used the Milepost Shapes on some pages. They are really fun to use. You can swipe your inkpad over the raised bumpy edges and distress the edges and make them match whatever B&t you are using.

Well, must keep moving along. Fixing food, getting gifts and door prizes ready for the BIG weekend coming up! My very first Weekend Crop Retreat I am hosting on beautiful Lake Webster! It's suppose to be in the 50s but, it's suppose to rain. Oh well, Spring is coming! It always does. I will post pictures of the weekend later, of course. Well, thanks for stopping by. Leave a comment for me and say Hi. ;-)

February Stamp Of The Month Card

Hello, are you bored today? Have cabin fever because winter just won't go away? Well, I am posting a challenge for you to try today! You are welcome to copy the card here or make something of your own.

Here is a card I made and a turtorial on how I did the edges. Not sure where I got the idea, maybe a Tim Holtz thing.I seem to gravitate to his blogsite alot for inspiration! The card sketch may be a Mojo Monday or from our book. I just can't remember. What I do know is it is a very, very simple design you can pretty much figure it out if you like it.The center sentiment was basically cut to fit the sentiment with a mat of juniper. I used Whisper and Slate and the leaves are juniper stamped on juniper cardstock. Not sure what color the flowers are. I stamped and cut 3 layers and stacked them together . Outlined the YOU with our glitz glitter. Everything is Close To My Heart.

Cut a piece of cardstock (or copy paper would work fine) to fit as a mask where you don't want the color. Sponge your chosen color all the way around. You can add more to make the edges darker if you want to.
Stamp over the color or can stamp before either way works all the way around the edge. It won't hurt a thing to get color up on the mask because.....

It won't show when you take the temporary piece off!

I used a flower stamp set from a Workshop On The Go that is retired. But, no fear, there are plenty more in the Spring/Summer Idea Book to choose from and my website has even more!

Ok, now, let's see what you can do with this technique and post it on my page in Facebook. Make a 2 page layout or a card or even a gift item but try the masking technique I showed you here.
Click here and post your photo in the photo section: Papercrafting with Stampingranny When you post your photo and description of your project I will put your name in a jar to be drawn for a prize! :-)
Leave a comment below or on my Facebook page so I know if your going to participate. Thankyou!

Valentine's Day~ Day 7

Well, today is the day! I gave my Sweetie his last one this morning at 2 am before he left for work. Tonight, he brought me flowers! Wow, what a Sweetheart! I dropped off the Sweets and Treats for my little Sweeties this afternoon and they gave us adorable little Valentine's Cards. Mya also shared a couple of her chocolate hearts with Grampa and I. So sweet! Shipped a box to Ohio for the Little Sweeties out there. Here is the last Valentine.

I have to say, I think this was my favorite one out of all 7 of them!

More Valentine Treats!

Whoooooo........... I can say I am done now! These took longer than I intended. Some will be shipped to some sweeties in Ohio tomorrow (I know, I know, they are late) and the rest go to some sweeties around here. I hope you don't get tired of the same colors but, I'm so liking this color scheme I can't quit using it. Besides, I don't have to think about it, I already have everything out for this combination so, why change now! LOL!

Here is 3 different cards out of 8 that I made. The rest all look like the top one.

Everything was either cut with the Artiste or the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge. Yes, the card cut at 3" and this cut automatically cuts out the heart in the center, the little 1" and 1 1/2" doiley stacked at the tip of the heart, all 3 layers of heart ringing the opening of the card. On the inside I stamped on and glued down the heart that came out of the opening. The juniper and cotton candy hearts are stamped. I stamped a design in the center of the top doiley and added a sparkle.

Here are the other 2 that have a little different look to them.

I wanted to show you something here. Some of you already know what masking is but, for those who don't I want to do a tiny tutorial. The top card was started without masking on the bottom of the pink square. You can see how the pink square comes through the juniper ink. So, I stamped the love u lots stamp on a sticky note up where the sticky is but on the right side of the note and then cut it out and laid it on the pink square. I then stamped the top juniper heart over the sticky note and onto the space above. Take off the sticky note and voila! It looks like its setting behind the pink. So, I did this with all of the cards as below. I looks so much more nice and neat. Don't you think?

Below is the bags of sugary, sweet, tooth decaying, gravity defying,  grandchild spoiling treats I am sending and giving to all my minature sweeties! Four who happen to be in Ohio and three right close by.

Oh yeah, not only is there corn syrup laced candy in those bags, but I made peanut butter, rice krispie treats with chocolate chips on top too. The message heart candy is something new to me. They were called Ice Cream Flavors. Well, let me tell you, they are really good. The orange ones remind me of creamsicle ice cream!!!!!

I made both treat toppers and cards with the stamp set from the Whoos Your Valentine kit. Even the tag is a stamp from in there.

Now, here is a box for all of those Valentine's I made for my Sweetie that lives with me here. Tomorrow is the last day and they all fit inside this. He's been pretty amazed at all his tiny little cards everyday.

Here is the front (above) and the back (below). Yes, there's 2 different sizes of owls. So adorable.

And the sides. I dry embossed, sanded and distressed the edges in Slate. The thing about all these Valentines, the box decorations and the Treat Toppers is, I used pretty much all from my scrap box. Except the card, topper, and box bases and the bigger pieces of Slate cardstock.

Well, on to the next project. Thinking about a Stamp Of The Month project or 2. Thanks for stopping by and looking. Feel free to leave a comment! Would love to know what you think.

Countdown to Valentine's Day!

Day 6! Wow, only one more day! Are you ready! Leave me a comment and tell me what you are doing for Valentine's Day.

I am still using the same colors and stamp sets as in the previous posts. My Sweetie is getting quite a few in his collection! Tomorrow, I will be posting the last card and a little extra project.

Countdown to Valentine's Day~ #2

Hello, I almost forgot to post the Day 2 Valentine I made for my sweeties!

I used a retired stamp set for the polka dot stamp. The rest come from the same ones mentioned in the first post. The round filigree design is from one of the stamp sets from the Avonlea Card Workshop kit. The banner tag in the upper corner was cut using one of the Close To My Heart Cricut Cartridges (can't remember which one) and the sparkly paper on the back is our new silver sparkle paper.

Cranberry, Whisper, White, Colonial Cardstock, Black and Smoothie.

Hope you enjoyed visiting my blog.

Mojo Monday Card!

It's been awhile since I have done a card for Mojo Monday. So, I needed to make a card for a Thankyou Gift for Jami for purchasing from my website in January and decided to use the Mojo Monday sketch for this week! She will be able to use it to give to her Sweetie! Here is the sketch:

And here is my card:

It is all Close To My Heart products. Again, I did not use any B&T paper but, chose to stamp on cardstock and make my own. Loved these colors. I was looking through the Jan/Feb 2013 Paper Crafts magazine and these colors were in a Bo Bunny paper pack for Valentine's Papers. I was able to match the colors with our cardstock and inks!

Juniper, Colonial White,Smoothie, Blush, Sorbet, Black, Cranberrry, Slate and Cotton Candy
The stamp set was the one from the Whoo's Your Valentine Kit that is no longer available.
Our Silver adhesive backed ribbon.
The oval center piece is cut from our Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge.

What do you think? Leave a comment and visit the Mojo Monday blog site for more fabulous cards made by several talented ladies!

Countdown to Valentine's Day!

Well, I ran as hard as I could but, it caught me, I think. The "bug" that's going around that is. Ughhhhhhh! So far it's just cold like symptoms and I have been taking a lot of Pure Herbs for this sort of thing. We will see how it goes.

Anyway, I have been making Valentine's for my sweeties. I will post one a day  until Valentine's Day and hope they will inspire you to make some yourself. If you choose to make some for your sweeties, I would love it if you could share. Go to my Facebook Page: Paper Crafting with Stampingranny' and post in my photos. Be sure and tell us what you used to make them.

All the cards were made with cardstock only~ No B&T papers at all! Designs were stamped on. All the cards were made with all Close To My Heart products .
Black, Whisper, Slate,White and Cranberry Cardstock and Inks
Glitz Stardust Glitter Gel
Stamp Set from the Whoo's Your Valentine Kit (no longer available)
C1441-Affection Stamp Set

These cards are 3 1/2 x 2 1/2 inches. I am making a holder for them and will post that later.

Design is from the 9036-Originals Card Confidence Program which is in our new Spring/Summer Idea Book. The design is called~Bow Front.

Looking forward to seeing your interpretation for your 3 1/2x 2 1/2 Valentine's Cards.
Leave a comment and let me know what you think.
